Doctor Shawn Hook :
Dr. Shawn Hook resided in madison until the age of 4.  He then moved to Mineral Point, Wisconsin, where he grew up in the country above a cheese factory.  Shawn gained experience with many different types of animals helping out on different farms near his home.  After graduation Dr. Shawn Hook moved back to Madison to go to the Unniversity of Wisconsin - Madison.  It was at that time that he began working for a veterinary clinic and fell in love with veterinary medicine.  Dr. Shawn Hook graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison - School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 1999.  Since that time he has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Madison area.  Dr. Shawn Hook has served as Vice President and President of the DCVMA (Dane County Veterinary Medical Association). Doctor Shawn Hook is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA), The Dane County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA), the American Heartworm Society (AHS), American Animal Hospitals of America (AAHA), the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV), American Ferret Assosciation (AFA), and the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV).  Dr Shawn Hook has worked with many rescue groups including the Dane County Humane Society, Angel's Wish, Country Animal Haven, Small Scale Reptile Rescue, Chicagoland Bully Breed Rescue, and ARVS.  His special interests are in exotic animal medicine and surgery, ultrasonagraphy and soft tissue surgery in canines and felines.  Dr. Hook took over ownership of the Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic in March of 2007.  He joined the Fitchburg-Verona Rotary Club in 2008 and enjoys giving back to the community of Fitchburg and Verona.  He enjoys disc golfing with his dog Skippy.  Dr. Hook also shares a home with his son, three cats, two rats, many fish, five Waxy Tree Frogs, and one very understanding wife (Sara).  You may email him with questions at

Doctor Rebecca Dallwig:   

Dr. Rebecca Dallwig graduated from Middleton High School in 1997.  After high school she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology and Psychology.  Following her undergraduate degree, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine.  During veterinary school she volunteered with Dane County Friends of Ferals and the Four Lakes Wildlife Center.  Due to her strong exotic interest, she participated in specialized training including Aquavet I and Safe Capture International.  She also conducted field research on hematology of Costa Rican basilisk lizards and health of free-ranging opossums in El Salvador, as well as laboratory research for osmolality in bearded dragons and analgesia in red-eared slider turtles.  Dr. Rebecca Dallwig completed veterinary externships at New England Aquarium, Indianapolis Zoo, and the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center in Waukesha, WI; as well as veterinary internships at the University of Illinois Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Wildlife & Exotic Animal Medicine) and the VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego. Prior to joining Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic Dr. Dallwig was in her first year of a zoological medicine residency program Chicago, IL.   Dr. Rebecca Dallwig is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the American Association of Zoological Animals (AAZV). Doctor Terri Osgood:

Dr Terri Osgood graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2003 and has been practicing companion animal medicine in Janesville then Edgerton ever since.  In 2003 she broadened her skills to include Traditional Chinese Medicine when she completed coursework in small animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine in Reddick Florida.  Since then she has incorporated Chinese herbal therapy and food therapy in her treatment plans.  She has enjoyed using this knowledge to help pets achieve a better quality of life, treating disorders including, arthritis, gastrointestinal disease, kidney failure, behavior problems, cancer and skin problems to name a few.  She welcomes the chance to work with the patients at Arbor Ridge Pet Clinic and is more than happy to discuss any questions you may have.  She currently lives in Stoughton with her husband, 9 year old daughter, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
